6th Oxford Tidal Energy Workshop (OTE2018)
Venue: Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford
We are pleased to announce that the 6th Oxford Tidal Energy Workshop, OTE2018, will be held in Oxford on the 26th and 27th of March, 2018. OTE2018 builds on five successful workshops to provide opportunities for scientists, engineers, and researchers to discuss technical issues in tidal stream power generation. Since the first workshop in 2012 the workshop series has attracted over four hundred delegates, received over a hundred oral presentations and enjoyed dozens of posters. The workshop welcomes all delegates, and in particular doctoral students and early career researchers whom we would like to encourage to join us to discuss their research in a friendly yet intellectually challenging environment. Research topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Device-scale problems (hydrodynamics, design, fluid-structure interactions, etc)
- Array-scale problems (wake interaction, array optimisation, etc)
- Basin-scale problems (resource assessment, environmental impact, etc)
- Novel experimental, computational, and theoretical approaches for tidal energy research
