All sorts of environmental flows; and an irrelevant rainbow. Photo credit: Thomas AdcockThe Environmental Fluid Mechanics group carries out research across a range of different topics and disciplines. The focus of the group is on fundamental research into the fluids mechanics of a range of engineering problems. The group uses a range of numerical, experimental and analytical methods and it is a feature of the group that all the academics who lead it have used all of these techniques in their work.

Our research is driven by a team of talented graduate students and post-docs.
